Plexamp mobile interface is well organized with most options only a single action away. With the ability to list all your favorite albums and artists, search for specific songs, all the way to enjoy more then just music with some cool visualizers and 4 visual themes for every taste. In its current 3.11 version Plexamp for both desktop, but specially for mobile, looks awesome! Plexamp in its 1st versions was desktop app only, but today we got a complete rewrite of the app that you can use on all well known desktop and mobile platforms. Basically what I always wanted was a native desktop and mobile app for my Plex setup and finally, its here. Sure you can play music if you want, but hey, you can also update your phone (?!?) and sync your content. Nowadays, most music players are bloated and full of extra features that nobody wants. I remember back in the day that Winamp was my favorite music player. Everyone that uses Plex was awarded with a small, minimalistic player that did just that, played songs from your Plex music library. Plexamp was a real success when it came out. Plexamp (iOS version) Plexamp - Winamp with Plex magic Started a little over 2y ago one of the first apps that came out of the labs was Plexamp. Whats Plex Labs you ask? Well Labs is what Plex calls, a playground for new apps (their native apps as well as 3rd party). I could really go on for hours on many features that Plex system offers but today I would like to focus on something that popped out from Plex Labs. If you are looking to play your content on the go, you can do that as well, no problem. Steaming in your home, on your tablet or TV, console or computer. What started as a media organizing platform a while back, turned out to be a brilliant solution for all your needs. If you are unfamiliar with Plex (shame on you!) its a media streaming and organizing platform. No way around it, its just perfect for me and my needs. I hope I could aid you in your decision as to if plex pass is worth it to you, I at least know it's worth it to me.I have been a Plex user for over 11y now. Offline playback is the only reason I got Plex pass, but all the other perks have made it feel worth it to me. Therefore offline playback is almost a must for me, so I can watch my series on the go. I take the train a lot, even during these quarantimes, it's part of my job. Synchronising the series and movies to a given user is a super nice to have, and allowing us to do this in such an elegant way is even more so. The lady of the house and I share a TV, but we don't always watch the same series together. Plex is no exception to this, that is, if you're a Plex pass user. More and more streaming services offers one login to multiple users. That's why when I saw the Plex Dash app, it goes without saying I threw everything I had in my hands, including this very blog post, just to write about it. Keeping an eye on my plex server is a pass time of mine, but the web interface sucks on mobile. I'll be writing more about plexamp in the comming time, but for now know that I really appreciate this app. It is currently only usable for plex pass members, but it's a gorgeous player, which uses the users plex library for music, something I really appreciate. My most used music player however is Plexamp. I love listening to music, so much so that I'm a subscriber to both Spotify and Apple Music. This functionality was so great, that I almost wend out to get a popcorn machine, but the lady of the house vetoed. I've in turn taken the liberty to do the same, much in joy of me and my significant other. In his great post, Alex describes how he combines Homekit and Plex to make the ultimate movie experience. Look, I'm a lazy man, and if I can get the computer to do a task for me, even if it's to avoid yelling to the lady in the tube "Movie mode", I'm all for it. The biggest and most important reason to me, is the webhooks. Wether or not it's worth it for you, is up to you to decide, but I'm going to outline why it's worth it to me: Webhooks I've been a plex pass member for a long-ish time, and to me it's been all the money worth.
